Recoloring & Materials
How to apply colors, materials, and textures to your shoe designs.
What is recoloring?
Recoloring lets you select a specific part of a shoe and change its color or material. Want to see that upper in burgundy suede instead of white leather? Just click and swap.
How it works
When you click Recolor we analyze the shoe's shapes, colors, and depth. From there, you can select a single segment of the shoe and change, adjust, or remove any region at any time.
Fill tool
- Click any area of the shoe.
- Select Material
- Select Color
Brush tool
Paint freeform for detail work or areas where you need more control.
Materials
Overlay
By default, regions use the "overlay" method. This preserves the details of your original shoe and lets you make fine improvements.
Materials
We also support a range of common footwear materials:
- Leather
- Suede
- Patent
- Metallic
Once you are happy, click Develop to make these more photorealistic.
Swatch Library
You can also import your own swatches. Read about the Swatch Library.
Make it Realistic with Develop
Develop is your friend if you want to make your image look more realistic. Simply select Develop from the bottom toolbar, to add a perfect finish to overlays, materials and swatches, making them appear photorealistic.
